Patients from Outside Sydney

Dr Conrad is proud to support patients and surgeons from regional centres across NSW and beyond. Whether you're seeking surgical expertise or specialist care, we offer flexible options to accommodate your needs.

Telehealth Appointments

For your convenience, telehealth appointments can be arranged to discuss your condition, review test results, and develop a treatment plan. However, any patients requiring surgery will need a face-to-face consultation to ensure a thorough examination and tailored surgical management.

Post-Surgery Stay in Sydney

Patients undergoing extensive surgery are advised to stay in Sydney for approximately five days post-surgery. This typically includes the first two days in a hospital setting, followed by a short recovery period in nearby accommodation. For patients without access to family or friends in Sydney, there are several accommodation options available, and our team is happy to assist with recommendations.

Travel and Accommodation

Our team is happy to assist with recommendations for nearby accommodation and other resources to make your stay in Sydney as smooth as possible.

Travel Subsidies & Financial Assistance

We understand that specialist care may not be available near where you live. For patients travelling to Sydney, the NSW Government’s Isolated Patients Travel and Accommodation Assistance Scheme (IPTAAS) may provide financial assistance for transport and accommodation costs. To check your eligibility or apply, visit IPTAAS Application Forms.

Follow-Up Appointments

Dr Conrad recommends attending a follow-up appointment at six weeks post-surgery to ensure optimal recovery. While this is ideally conducted in person, telehealth follow-ups may be an option for some patients, particularly those collaborating with their local gynaecology teams.
